From its original founding as a biannual print/digital literary publication in 2019, Overheard has transitioned to a year-round online publication featuring poetry, short fiction, essays, and book reviews. Overheard is free to read and free to submit, and is volunteer-run. We accept unsolicited submissions year round.
THE OVERHEARD STAFF
Evelyn is a Northeastern University graduate who is currently pursuing an MFA at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is a reader for the Juniper Prize, hosted by the University of Massachusetts Press, as well as the Managing Editor of Paperbark, UMass's graduate literary magazine. She lives in Amherst, MA.
She was a fiction finalist for both the 49th and 51st New Millennium Writing Award, and her writing has been published by North American Review, Cypress Press, The South Shore Review and others. You can follow her on Twitter @evelyntweeting.
SEAN CHO A.
Sean Cho A. is the author of “American Home" (Autumn House 2021) winner of the Autumn House Press chapbook contest. His work can be future found or ignored in Copper Nickel, Prairie Schooner, The Massachusetts Review, Nashville Review, among others. Sean is a graduate of the MFA program at The University of California Irvine and a PhD Student at the University of Cincinnati. Find him @phlat_soda
Danielle (she/her) is a first year MFA candidate at UMass Amherst studying prose. She received her BA in English from the University of Florida and JD from the University of Pennsylvania Law School. Danielle enjoys swimming, an alphabetized bookshelf and losing the New Yorker caption contest each week.
Head of Design
Juwon is a visual designer with experience in both print and web design. She is currently completing her degree in Graphic and Information design at Northeastern University, while working as a Studio designer for Scout, Northeastern's student-led design studio.
